Man,I just got to have those blue suede shoes, As I was walking down the street one night   thinking about how badly I wanted those shoes even though I had not even enough money to  buy my own food, I was lonely dirty little boy and when I saw this large purse with this large  helpless lady I couldn't resist but want to try and grasp  her purse. It's not like I wasn't going  to  feel bad about it after wards but, what else could I  do?..So I sneakily ran up  to this lady and  tried snatching her purse away the  strap snapped. The large woman screamed at me and in  shock picked me up and kicked me!  That really did hurt I didn't give in to the pain though.  The   angry look the large lady gave me scared me ore then anything.. By the time I got into her  house I didn't realize what has happened, there was roommates I  think or family? She couldn't  dare hurt me in front of people .. Right? As  the lady asked questions I answered until she told  me to go wash my face of course it was a relief after I felt so much cleaner. Then this lady asked  to stay for the food there was food was she trying to  fatten me up just couldn't help  looking at  the door again and again I wanted to run but  I just couldn't the trust this lady held out was  strong. By the time the food was done I was awkwardly trusting her, the food was really good.  Then when I was done she told me she had stole something before to? So we have something  in common of course she could have just said that but after everything she gave me money.?  This lady was so nice I even got to get the pair of shoes I wanted because o her  everything  happens for a reason.

Situation

Have you ever been in a situation that you have been heart broken or you felt it Was unfair ? In the short story "The lottery" by Shirley Jackson has two main themes which is unfairness and heart broken. This story is about the lottery except it's not actually about winning the lottery it's about getting your name chosen from a black box and once you are chosen you go to the next round and the next. If you win the final round you get stoned to death.

 First of all the first theme in the lottery is unfairness because the main character didn't think it was fair her husband got to pull the card out of the bucket. Also it could be unfairness because everyone doesn't know anything except there village in the world.

Although, unfairness is a pretty big theme I think the bigger them heart broken the reason why I say that is because if you have to stone your friends or family it must hurt to sit there , and watch them get stoned to death. since the bigger the rock the bigger the friendship could also mean knowing you ended your friends life that your rock could have been the rock that knocked them out. To sit there and watch the pain that you give your close family, friends.

 In conclusion even though this story I think is a sad story, it also has a great meaning to it and the themes have a great meaning to it too.

I Was Left All Alone

Dear Humans, I was there all alone, next to no one on a hot summer day. I felt so lonely the scent of lavender drifted farther away as my fellow friends disappeared. You see I'm the last flower living in my flower bed. This was where I was born and raised. Every other of my friends died from heat stroke or not enough water with the sunny beating straight down on me I'm not sure how much more I can take myself. I'm so lonely I wish my family was just here. We use to sing songs all day long and wait for that one stormy night to come and give us a nice refresh. t would make me so happy just to have that one last time before I go. So here I sit here waiting for the day I dread to come. From, the last flower in the flower bed.

Bully

Author note: I wrote this to get the word out about bullying.

Bullying causes 100 kids to commit suicide a day.If you saw bullying, what would you do to stop it? Would you stand by and let it happen ?Take part in it, or try to stop it? Not many students think about this, and that’s part of the problem when it comes to bullying.

Treat others the way you want to be treated.That’s the Golden Rule and it should be followed in every of your life. If someone was in a position to stop you from being bullied and did nothing, how would you feel? If you find that unacceptable, you must do everything you can to stop others from hurting people.No one is even  aware of how much pain these victims feel every day. They go to school knowing they’re going to be hurt and they see no way out. This is because people that bully and many others stand by and let it happen without realizing how much pain this is causing people.

 Even though,bully's know most of the time how much pain they are giving the individual  they don't stop. When the victims see no way out, they may choose to tragically end their life, leaving more hurt behind for those who were unable to stop it.A death of a young person is always a waste of life,even if they lived a good short life.So how many more lives must be wasted before something is done? If you see.or hear bullying in any way you are taking part in it and will be considered a bystander. Bullying is everyone’s responsibility and the option of doing nothing  is not a option .

 Finally ,bullying can happen in school, so it is the responsibility of students to protect their classmates and to show everyone the respect they would like to be treated with. The first line of defense in bullying is in student’s own behavior. But when that fails, it must be brought to the attention of someone, like a teacher.Speak to a teacher you trust and know will do something to stop the bullying.

 In conclusion Bullying is happening everywhere, even at your own school. You may not see it, you may not know it is there, but it is happening and it causes unimaginable pain to the victims. The only way to end bullying is to talk about it If someone is hurting another person, they will not stop unless someone (either a fellow classmate or a teacher) stands up for the victim and tells there bully to stop. Bullying is everyone’s problem; therefore everyone has to be part of the solution.

Have you ever been taken away from your family and friends and had to survive on your own agaisnt 24 other people who  are trying to kill you? If you have you might know how a young girl named Katniss Everdeen feels when she has to volunteer for the Hunger Games. Some of the main themes  in the Hunger Games are love, survival and trust.

First of all Love is very easy to find right from the beginning in the Hunger Games. After about 24 pages or so it really stands out and this is how, Katniss’s little sister is chosen to be in the Hunger Games and she is just 12 years old. Katniss is watching in the crowd as her sister goes up to the stage. Katniss knows her sister will die if she goes into the games so Katniss runs up to the stage and decides to take her sisters place in the Hunger Games. This is the first act real love in the story, Katniss cared to much about her sister to let her be in that position. The second act of real love is in the actual Hunger Games. Two people from every district are chosen to go to the Games. The other person that was chosen to go with her is Peeta Mellark. When Katniss hears his name out of the speakers she whispers to herself “Oh No, not Peeta” “page 23”.

 Another theme in the Hunger Games is survival. This is really important because, the real Hunger Games are all about being able to survive. The Hunger Games are just for the enjoyment of the people. The Hunger Games is about a 2 or 3-month reality show.kindve like survivor but, not really. In survivor when they just send you home when you mess up, in the Hunger Games you will be killed if you mess up.Katniss has to survive weeks in the forest with no food or water but that’s not the worst part, there will be other people out to kill her. To survive the game Katniss will have to kill someone sooner or later. Right before the Hunger Games start Katniss and Peeta tell each other “good luck” (on page 124) Then the games begin!

 Finally The third theme is trust. You have to be able to trust someone else in the games to survive because there is power in numbers. One of the people Katniss decides to trust is Peeta, but then she soon thinks that that was a dumb idea Katniss’s exact words where“how could I trust him he had a act” (on page 177).Katniss trusted no one she didn’t know who to trust.This can relate to the real world because it’s hard to know who to always trust.

 In conclusion even if you have never seen the movie or book this paper should help because now that you know the main theme's in the Hunger Games are love, survival and trust.You will be able to understand the book and the movie a lot better.

Viruses What Are They Really?

Authors note: The purpose of this piece is to tell about viruses and what are they are. How do they affect organisms? And I will explain 2-viruses, also how viruses are helpful and/or harmful to humans.

When you are sick do you ever wonder what bug you have? And what’s really happening to your body? The aches the coughs the chills they are all caused by this little thing called a viruses. There are thousands of viruses in the world and there are many types of viruses some are good and some are bad for the human body.

First of all, not many people really know what a virus is. So let’s talk about what a virus isn’t . A virus is not bacteria or “independently-living organism (Brown).Now for what a virus is, a virus is a non living particle and They attack healthy cells viruses do not have the characteristics of living things they are not able to change food into energy that the body can use. Also a virus can’t live without a “absence of a living cell” (Brown).

Now with a strong definition of what a viruses is you will understand the two more popular viruses a Rhinovirus and a flavirues .A rhinovirus is also known as the west Nile virus. The West Nile Virus is a virus that already has the viruses and if you get bitten by a mosquito you can get the infection. Some symptoms are , headaches, neck stiffness, stupor, disorientation, coma, tremors, convulsions, muscle weakness, vision loss, numbness and paralysis. These symptoms may last several weeks these effects may also be permanent (What's West Nile Virus). There Is no way to cure it at this time other than just resting . The second viruses is the flavirues this viruses is also known as a head cold. it’s like a normal cold “coughing sneezing runny nose”. This viruses will clear up in a few days and there is a vaccine to this viruses but it isn’t very dependable (ALANE E.NOURSE).

However, those two viruses are both harmful to a human body there are ways a viruses could be helpful along with harmful.” First of all ,concerning the virus as helpful as it's used mostly in the field of biotechnology where they use it to inject a genetically modified genes into the genom of specific organ of the body ( as virus is specific ) and so may cure certain diseases” (Viruses ). Which that means a virus can be helpful by if you have a disease and cure the certain disease. Now, a viruses can be harmful l to a human body because they infect the body .Viruses are harmful also because they infect specific tissue in the body and cause disturbances in this organ such as flu virus.

Finally after learning on how harmful or helpful a viruses can be how about hot a viruses can affect organism. “Viruses attack animals, plants, fungi, protects, and bacteria. Some viruses can infect only specific kinds of cells” (GreenBook). That means that the viruses can only go into as a certain type of cell and infect those types of cells.

In conclusion viruses’ can be good and evil to the human body. Now with a little more knowledge about them. You don’t have to mistake them for anything else except for what they are. Also now when you have the flu or the cold or something you can understand on what’s happening to the body.

Being Free

Author note: The purpose of this piece to tell the reader if the slaves in the north in the 1800's where really free or not.

In 1800’s most of the North African Americans where free from slavery at that period of time. By free that means that they were no longer owned as property they still had restrictions and not everyone treating them equally. Also since they had freedom but restrictions their freedom where completely different from the white freedom. The whites has no restrictions, so the question is is the north African Americans really free? How free are they really?

Even though everyone has restrictions in life. thanks to the law in the 1800’s the blacks had restrictions . For example just like in the DBQ document A they said that the blacks couldn’t vote and they could practice religion but, without the whites.They couldn’t pray with the whites they had to find their own place to do it.

Another reason on why blacks weren’t free is because of the way they were treated by the whites. As kids blacks and whites went to different schools,and as the blacks grow up even if they had a great education no whites would employee them. No whites would like to work with them. In the website http://history1800s.about.com said even in some places whites wouldn’t let them check books out from the public library, because they thought they would steal the books. Also on the website it said that some whites wouldn’t let them eat in the same place as them which is ridiculous. In the North, attitudes were hardening against slavery, and as time passed the passions over slavery threatened repeatedly to shatter the Union.

Finally, Other than not being able to eat, sit or be in the same place as the whites, What about the black women? They weren’t very important at this period of time they were there to cook and clean just the white women. But no matter what color they where they were treated less important that the men. Especially the black women.

In conclusion with everything you now know about how the backs were treated, the restrictions they had and how the women were treated. Even though they were called “free blacks” I think that they weren’t free at all. I think it’s way worse than the blacks in the south because knowing, you are different from everyone because of your skin color. It’s not fair but, finally now you know the answer to the question is was the North African Americans really free? How free are they really?

Review

Author note : This is to review the meaning of both poems


In both poems "Field Below" and big yellow taxi had basically the same mood and tone. In the first poem I read Big yellow taxi the mood was sad, sorrow and felt simplicity. The tone the piece had was heart broken because she realized she misses the nature. Same with the second poem I read Field Below has a mood of sorry and the tone is sad the same as the first poem.

Finally,after listening to both songs and re reading the poems I can compare and contrast the two.The first song I listened to was the first poem that I read . In "Big yellow Taxi "the music didn't match up to the poem because,it sounds happy and up beat I don't agree I think the singer should have introduced the tone differently like it is said in the poem.the next song I listened to was "Field Below" the song did match up with the poems mood and tone too
because it was soft and calming just like the poem it really pointed out the part when she sang ancient bruises it stood out and told the reader her point.This shows us how important it is to really express the way the poem is and I think that the first song should have had a different tempo and singer to express the song differently .

When you read a book do you pay attention to the characters? In the book Don’t Tell by Elizabeth Chandler focuses on mostly the main character Lauren. Have you ever wondered though what role does the main character really have? And what about the features of them and their family?

First of all Lauren, the main character has a lot of features that make her her for example she always wants to be right and wants to be the responsible one she acts like she’s about 72 years old Also Lauren has a goodie good side to her and would rather eat a table then date a guy, mostly because she goes to an all girl school. so she must not talk with any guys. Lauren’s physical description is easy. Although the way she looks doesn’t match her personality at all because,. Lauren has dark chocolate hair that matches her eyes When you think of goodie goodies you think total nerd, Which you kindve stereotype. She also is very skinny like a twig and short like a leporican.

Following on what Lauren looks like, and her physical description .Even though Lauren is the main character I think she has a bigger part in the story other than just that. Her role is to make everything all better. To try and be the sweet and innocent one like Snow White . Her role is to be the responsible one in her family like a grandmother with a house full of children . Which her family needs, Lauren’s mom died at her godmother’s house when she was little. Several years later, she comes back and the community is still the same but, her family has changed. Her cousin Nora must be the dumbest person alive , And when they where kids she was the smartest kid alive. Maybe Her aunts death scarred her for life? That’s What Lauren thought on page 112.Nora’s sister," Lauren’s other cousin" Holly has grown to a young woman who ignores her sister and her mind is in her own little world. Finally her aunt Jule . She tries and forgets about the past and isn’t finical secure.It's like she depends on Lauren without knowing that’s why the family needs someone responsible like Lauren.

In conclusion do you really pay attention to the main character/? If you do it can really help picture what’s happening and what they look like it also give you a lot of deep detail in the characters families overall “Don’t Tell” is a great descriptive book.

In the poem “Mother to Son” by Langston Hughes has a lot of different figurative language used for example when the poet wrote “Life for me ain't been no crystal stair.” it was showing it is a metaphor because it’s writing about one thing as if it was something else and by what he wrote he meant life hasn’t been easy. Another example of figurative language in the poem is personification because when Langston Hughes says “It's had tacks in it, And splinters, And boards torn up” life can’t really have that. He was saying how life has ups and downs. The figurative language was easy to find but what about the tone and mood? The tone is inspiration because, the mother was trying to tell the son no matter what never give up on yourself life won’t be a walk in the park. Author note: This is to improve my word choice and sentence fluency. It is a persuasive essay on why I think animals shouldn’t be killed or harmed for their fur.


Did you know each year; more than 40 million animals are killed for their fur? Rabbits, chinchillas, foxes, bobcats, minks and many more other mammals are slaughtered for the profit of poachers. Just the fact of knowing that people kill animals for their fur, doesn’t it make you sick? This means that we can only get fur from animals without harming them for example getting wool can be shaved from sheep, a natural painless process.There are plenty of reasons why killing animals for their fur should be illegal even if it happens to be hunting season. We should protect animals not purposely harm them.

Even though having a fur coat is pretty cool, wearing something that has fur on it makes you even “cooler”, for an animal to wear that is. The process of getting the fur has so much pain involved. Fur farmers get away with cramming minks, foxes, raccoons, and chinchillas into tiny, filthy wire cages where they stay for months up to years, unable to run or play or enjoy any freedom, family, or friendship. They are commonly exposed to snow and sleet in winter and scorching heat in summer and instead of proper food, they eat slop. They receive minimal water, and the animals are killed in frightening, cruel, and most of all, painful ways. Not to mention how the farmers catch the wild animals. Poachers have to set traps up to catch the animals. Something worse than that is they leave the animals in the traps to suffer for days, in all types of weather. The animals grow very hungry and thirsty before some farmers even try to kill them. Many are animals are skinned alive, how barbaric. Sometimes even dogs or cats are caught in the traps by accident!


In addition of animals being caged captured tortured and killed in gruesome farms, since fur these days are looking to be more and more of a fashion trend it has been endangering and threatened species. Many factories keep taking in more and more animals and threaten many different mammals’ species. With certain animals being killed every day there is no hope for them. The factories do this for their satisfaction they don’t think about how many animal families they are harming.

Finally, to protect our animals it is only when people stop buying fur that the fur trade will cease to exist. Do not buy any fur or fur trimmed products and before you purchase anything that looks like fur, be sure to ask the retailer whether or not it is real before making any transaction. You could also buy fake fur, It’s even better because you can’t harm animal and it cost less!


In conclusion anyone can help no matter what laws this country may have. The world should be a place to protect animals stops the fur farms, fur factories and the people buying the fur. It’s cruel and overall disgusting those are the plenty of reasons why killing animals for their fur should be illegal with many supportive reasons. Thank you and please take this in consideration next time you buy real fur.

Have you ever wanted something so bad? In the book Where The Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls .The main character a country boy named Billy wants two great hounds and he figures that,to earn something he has to work hard. In this book it has a lot of emotion and the quote “You told us to put one in tree and you would do the rest.” found on page 78.Shows the emotionAlso the quote has 3 important impacts in the novel.First How this quote shows how easily the main character Billy changes his emotion.Secondly how Billy’s pups have a big impact on him and his life and lastly it shows Billy’s personality.

Although the quote “You told us to put one in tree and you would do the rest.” Doesn’t seem like it could take a big part of this book. Personally my belief is that it shows how the main character Billy who was saying this quote to himself went to an angry and ashamed toward his dogs. Just like he said on page 74 “I’m ashamed of you little girl” To not wanting to give up Billy knew that he let his hounds down and mostly he let himself down for almost giving up.


Following about Billy’s emotions, this quote also showed how much the dogs have impacted him in his life so far. Billy learned that if he wanted something he had to work for it. Billy learned to never give up, just like he said “I don’t care how big you are, I’m not going to let my dogs down. I told them if they put a coon in the tree I would do the rest and I’m going to.” Found on page 78.Billy's dogs ment everything to him he could understand them and they could understand him in a (dog way).
Billy and his dogs had each other backs from the start,they where his bestfriends.He could never let them done he would protect them with his life.


Finally, Billy’s connection with his dogs and how his emotions change where easy to find within that quote. What about his personality? How could the reader find that? Deep inside the quote “You told us to put one in the tree and you would do the rest” breaking it down honestly the reader could figure out what message Billy was trying to past he was caring thinking about his dogs before himself ”You would do the rest “found inside that quote. This quote also slowly moves into his personality changing through the story since he learns to be more responsible probably because his hounds are something he is responsible for.

Love Hurts

It was a Friday night and I just got out of the shower all the sudden I
hear knocking on the door. Who could that be? It’s 9 o’clock… My dad is gone and so is my brother? People Walk in and say “Victoria” any normal teen girl would be freaked out right…but no not me I knew that voice it was Jake my boyfriend’s best friend. Jake shouted “Chris and I are hanging out with you!” Excitement jumped inside of me. What should I do? I have no makeup on and I just got dressed into my pajamas! .One minute I yelled down the stairs. Throwing a bunch of my make up on and quickly getting dressed,without hesitating I walked down the stairs all calm as if nothing happened.

When I saw Jake my face lit up “could he see that?” You see me and Jake go pretty far back we use to have a thing when we were in grade school he texted the first time he saw me and said I was cute! Yes cute, we talked for a while on and off, and then in the beginning of the year he came over with his friend and my neighbor. it’s weird to have a crush on your boyfriends best friend. My boyfriend Chris he is nothing compared to that handsome man Jake. There was many quality’s that Jake had that I wish Chris would have I could go on.. Anyways (back to the story) where was I...Oh yah! So I welcomed them both in... We had laughs and we played Wii and talked but, something weird happened as we were playing Wii.. Jake pulled me down to sit next to him! It was pretty cute... I considered on what Chris thought but of course Jake didn’t let me go I think he thought it was a joke...By the end of the night my head was spinning with confusion. Did I love Chris or did I love his best friend this all sounded so crazy until later that night when Jake texted me things got even crazier. My feelings got deeper for Jake but, I couldn’t tell anyone what about Chris’s feelings.. What would people think..?It may not seem like it but I’m really insecure about myself just like any teen girl would be, But I was way worse I swear! We talked for a few days over txt until about maybe a week later, Checking my news fee on Facebook a message popped up from Chris I was surprised.. I wanted to break up with him for Jake... I could not say that! He would be crushed I still cared for him but more of the brother sisterly love it was weird dating your brother more I thought about it…ekk bad thoughts..So I typed back to Chris and this is what happened…

C: yeah a friend.. And don’t tell me about trust... I don’t trust you either
V: Why Do you not trust me?
C: I don’t know…
V” Obviously well I don’t trust you and you don’t trust me so..
C: we should break up
V: really? Wait seriously…. Why? We had 1 little fight..?
(I was extremely happy... mean right..? I couldn’t sound that way through the messages..)
C: Yeah sorry…
V: Okay bye?

I logged off…I thought about it was I happy? Or relived I felt every emotion at once... At least I still had someone to talk to. One thing incredible happened that night.. Jake told me he broke up with his girlfriend. Was it for me? I thought... I kind of felt bad…Not for a long time though Jake lifted my sprit up once again. He defiantly made me feel as if I was in a fairy tale..Until the next night I found out he lied to me... I was so mad... How could he hurt me like that play me?! I was no toy I didn’t even want to talk to him...Yet again Jake texted me again and said how sorry he was… and that he just didn’t have a chance to tell her yet, Jake poured hit heart out to me saying how beautiful I was and he would never lie to me again. Sure I have heard this before. But things happen for a reason. “Could it really be that I’ve meet the one guy that would be faithful to me?”Of course I forgave him and said its all okay.

Finally the next day at school I overheard Chris and Julia talking (Jakes girlfriend) Chris said , Jake wanted me to show you this (shows a txt from Jake)Julia looked so hurt..Guilt reached me. They only dated for a week or so ? Could she really be that hurt…? I’m sorry Julia… (inside head) Chris walked away and Julia stood there then smiled and walked down the stairs uhh.. Maybe she’s a good actor or she really did not care at all. School went good for the rest of the day it flew past just like the week.

Late Sunday night after, getting out of the shower. I checked my phone I received a text message from.. CHRIS?! What nauh.. No no no no he told me how stupid he was to move on and he missed me? No no no and guess who was almost stupid enough to fall for it.. Yah this girl right here . I texted Jake I told him that I think I want to get back together with Chris “I so felt bad for Chris that why.. “ Not because I “love” him not because he means the world to me.. No way could I leave Jake in the rain like that!
V: I’m so so so sorry I do not want to get back together with Chris that was so stupid of me... Can you forgive me please I really like you.

J: then why did you?
V: I thought I still cared for him I know I don’t...
J: You like me a lot still?
V: never stopped (:
J: Does this mean?
V: yes, I’m ready to be your girl.

As I was waiting for a respond I was sitting on my bathroom floor smiling on how proud I was on talking a step farther in my life. My phone vibrated so loud it scared it me.
J: Victoria, Will you go out with me?
V: What took you so long?
J: so what’s your answer?
V: obviously a YES! Jake I will go out with you.

So my name is Victoria and I found out who was my true love on the night that boy that barged into my house yes, I love him! I would have never figured that we would be meant for each other 10 years later and we are happily together..Who would have thought that middle school sweethearts would get married yah married we had the perfect wedding. First though let me tell you about how we got engaged!

It was the day before my birthday, and I had just got home from work and was trying to get ready but feeling frustrated that I wasn't going to look good, and was basically having a heart attack. Jake tld me to go an open my presents since he was in work at 8 am the next day and I wouldn’t get them until later in the day. I went into the lounge and he had put some music on, which is actually the song we wanted as our "first dance" song I opened the bag and pulled out the present I knew it was the book he had bought me, and went straight for the big box at the bottom. I opened it and inside was an Teddy Bear (something he has bought me throughout our relationship) with a bow around it’s hands holding a engagement ring and as i turned round he was down on one knee and asked me the important question, "Will you marry me?" I threw the Bear and ring over my shoulder (onto the sofa) and gave him a huge hug and said “Yes!”

What about the wedding ? Ok well it was the day we got together the 21st of November and it was in Florida somewhere he loved! It was on the beach warm and amazing! I’m not going to go into detail because, trust me it would take ages. But it was for sure the best night of my life. Everybody thought that “o they are too young to know what love is” We proved them wrong we are still going strong. But I have something to tell you. Never doubt love always believe in your heart it will guide you too the right place. If a relationship breaks smile and say its okay because one day you will thank them and say “I’m glad we aren’t together or I wouldn’t be in the persons arms I’m suppose to be in.”

Taking A Big Part

Author note: The purpose of writing this is to tell about how the setting effects take parts in the book .

“Oh you’re a hillbilly “This quote is in the book ” Where The Read Fern Grows” by Wilson Rawls on page 32.That quote really reveals the place and time period the setting is in. The setting is in the country where the main character grows up it’s in the time period of early 1900’s.In every book the setting takes a big part in the book, it effects the characters, and the plot of the story.

Although the setting of the book effects more than one thing the plot lays the whole story out! So the setting really effects the plot the most.For example in the beginning of the story when the main character said on page 1 “when I left my office that beautiful spring day.” It’s bringing you into the plot and story.adn describing what kind of place or evirment the character was in.

Even though the plot is a big deal in the story , the setting also effects the characters because, of the way the main character was raised. The time frame has a impact on the main character because the boy just wanted his hounds. When the boy didn’t even have shoes that he had to walk to get them.Through out the story the plot changed alot from the future of time period to woods, mountains, stores,and the family farm.

Furthermore the plot and the way the setting it affected the characters,but what if the setting was completely different? For example what if the setting was in modern time? The boy would probably talk way different, also his mother wouldn’t have boiled hot water for the boys feet.Also when the main character Billy ( the boy) was trying to raise money to buy the hounds it wouldn't have tooken him 2 years to raise the money.Or what if the story was in Africa the boy wouldn't need hounds to hunt a "coon".

In conclusion the setting of a book has a great impact on everything.The character will change as the setting will The plot will be completely different because it may effect on how something or someone gets somewhere.That’s the setting and how it effects many things and that's how the setting effects the story and how it would effect differently if it was in a a different period of time or place.

Have you ever took something that wasn't yours?In the short story "Thank you Ma'am" there's two main charaters the boy who trys to snatch the purse and the large lady"Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones" the women whose purse is almost snatched,I wounder what the boy was thinkng?Well this is something he might say...

Man,I just got to have those blue suede shoes, As I was walking down the street one night thinking about how badly I wanted those shoes even though I had no no money to buy my own food, I was lonely dirty little boy and when I saw this large purse with this large helpless lady I couldn't resist but want to try and snatch her purse. It's not like I wasn't going to feel bad about it after wards but, what else could I do?..So I sneakily ran up to this lady and tried snatching her purse away the strap snapped. The large woman screamed at me and in shock kicked me then picked me up and shook me! That really did hurt I didn't give in to the pain though. The angry look the large lady made me scared more then anything.. By the time I got into her house I didn't realize what has happened,there was roommates I think or family? She couldn't dare hurt me in front of people .. Right? As the lady asked questions I answered until she told me to go wash my face of course it was a relief after I felt so much cleaner. Then this lady asked to stay for the food there was food was she trying to fatten me up? Thoughts ran through my head I just couldn't help looking at the door again and again I wanted to run,I just couldn't the trust this lady held out was too strong. By the time the food was done I was awkwardly trusting her, the food was really good. Then when I was done she told me she had took something before to that when she was a child she wanted things she couldn't have? So we have something in common of course she could have just said that but after everything she gave me money? This lady was so nice little bit crazy! With the money she gave me those pair of shoes I wanted i didn't buy, Rather than that i took it for food. I know i would need that more than anything my family would appreciate it too,i was sure of it.

In conclusion that's just a thought about what I personally think would happen next.One of the reasons why this story is a heart touching base is that it makes people realize everything happens for a reason.If the boy didn't pick the big lady as his victim he wouldn't have got money , the victim wouldn't have helped him out.This story something for anyone.
