Retelling the story

Author note: I will be writing to retell the story Deads Mens Path by chimua Achebe.

" All our colleagues are young and unmarried" you can find this starting quote on page 476 of the book introduction to fiction.How would you like to be a new starting headmaster that's married? The short story Deads Men's Path by chimua Achebe is a biography on Michael Obi's life.Michael had dreams just like anyone else he was trying to make and unprogressive school a better place but, Michael can't do that with a path to a graveyard in the middle of the school yard. Michael didn't want to have the supervisor come and fire him for that reason he wanted to have it look modern and the path was getting in the way. When he puts barb wire around the path the villagers get extremely furious and tear down half of the school!Of course when the supervisor came to inspect him his words were "tribal-war situation developing between the school and village, arising in part from the misguided zeal of a new head master" found on page 478 said by the supervisor in a nasty reort.That's what happens in the story "Dead Mans Path"
