What would you do if you saw a girl that didn’t exist ? Just like the title Deep Dark and Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahn
it's very deep it has a lot of thought into it and creativity. Also following that the mode of literature isn't so easy to pick out especially since it’s a romance. starts out in a minor conflict and ends in life symbolism.
If you think this book isn't romance I can understand why .It's very hard to pick out the mode. reason for it to be a romance is the ending in life symbolism . Just like every other romance story It ends in life symbolism by the remaining sprit of sissy is free . Which lets Sycamore Lake remain peaceful again. That was just one hint that its romance .
Characteristics is also one big hint that makes it romance ,Ali the main character was in control for most of the story .Another thing is that ,this has fantasy Vision in it because it seemed better than it really is. For example on page 56 Emma Alis little sister tells her that she's going to hang out with her new strange friend sissy to go and play in the lake when all the sudden Sissy was tiring to play a game that involved drowning Emma she told Ali " I was only trying to play a game with her "even though it almost cause Emma her life. At that point I was asking myself if it really was a game because Sissy new Emma couldn’t swim that good. All this bad stuff kept happening to Emma when she was hanging out with Sissy. Then I realized why this book had so much Mystery to it.
Its hard not to consider this book not good.Mystery to it really completes it that’s one of the reason I do like it. One thing that I didn’t like is that I couldn’t really find any connections with the main character or any character in this book . Ali was very protective over her little sister, Emma which is good but I don’t know that feeling to be so protective over anything. Overall even with that one bad thing I really liked reading this book.
