At first Kino wasn’t crazy, actually he was a loveable wonderful husband to Juana . But once he got his hands on the huge pearl a size of a Seagles egg there was no stopping him. The only reason why he went diving was to pay the doctor to help there kid Coyotito because, he got stung by a scorpion. Since that happened Kino changed tremendously throughout the story. By "John Steinbeck" The Pearl.

At first like I said Kino wasn’t so haughty he was very kind and protective of his family. But as the time went by I felt the same anger as Juana felt. When Kino would choose the pearl over his family. He became careless and selfish. There own indigenous people where turning against him .If I where his "people" I would be pretty upset of how he was treating me and other people. I couldn’t help feeling the stress that Juana was feeling.

In the middle of the story Juana really realized what the pearl was doing more than just splitting the family up but putting them all in danger. For example "on page 59 chapter 5"Kino killed a person just to protect the pearl. When he did that he was ashamed in his words of "I struck to save my life" Even if it was for his life if I were him, I would of just gave the pearl up because he wouldn’t really lose anything. He would gained respect more then anything.

Finally at the end of the book ,Kino lost his family. He realized the pearl brought the evil music, the evil in his thoughts, that it was nothing. And so did I. If I was him I would of got rid of the pearl right away and not regret anything. In the beginning of the book to the end he changed his life So much by just the few mistakes he made in his life.
