Why does Juanna believe that the Peark will desstroy Her and Kino

Why does Juanna believe that the pearl destroy her and Kino? How will the pearl destroy them? Many reasons for one Juanna probably thinks that Kino will do something to protect the pearl and not realize it.Since Kinos eyes softened even when he saw it and held it. I bet it would be 10x worse if someone took it from him he would probably kill. Maybe if Kino does something to protect to the pearl or if anything thing not on purpose it will be because of the pearl with out the pearl they wouldn't have people tiring to hurt his kid. If i was in Juannas shoes i would be scared and worried Overall the few chapters that I've read I really liked and connected to it. If I had a kid and he/she got stung by a scorpion I would try my hardest to make sure he/she was okay. I know I might not know the feeling of it but I do know the feeling of losing someone close to you. Something that I really didn’t like was the racism in the story… I get it was the period of time when blacks Indians weren't treated as great As whites. But the truth is the whites could use helpful tips from the Indians example when Juannas took seed weed and put it on coyotes bite to ease the swelling was just as good maybe better than what the doctor could of done.
